It’s been in a while since I listened to this story. When I downloaded this book, I was on the road many hours a week making the drive back home to take care of my father, who palliative at the time. The title is what caught my attention. I didn’t know who Rachel Brathen was at the tine.
The story evokes do many feelings. If you could have seen me, I was laughing one minute, crying the other and felt comforter the next.
While, as many reviews state, it’s jumps around and not necessarily well written, but I liked the story. Because I had the audiobook version, it felt more like I was listening to a friends story, where things do on tangents.
Overall, I enjoyed the book. I am not sure if I liked it because I actually liked the book, or because It had been a while since I listened to a memoire or because I needed to feel all the feelings because of what I was going through at the time.
